front cap leak

melborne 26A,
leaving LAS VEGAS yesterday, encountered 50-60 mph winds,
and awning decided to depart, pulled out of the top rail,
will see if its fixable,

also, raining and had a drip from L/F corner of windshield.
believe its coming from the cap/ roof mating surface,
anyone encounter this? or know what to use to reseal this area?

will be creating a better retaining device for awning, so 100mph winds
won't bother it, not sure yet on what, possible straps, or bracket with positive engagement method.
open to suggestions.
THX
