I came to the same conclusions.
Although Titan does not, Transfer Flow makes tanks for gas powered trucks.
Maybe something to consider for the future.

I do the same.

I get a little nervous dropping below 1/4 tank looking for a fuel stop..., did this once and the exit I wanted was closed do to an accident, ran out of gas in an attempt to get to another exit that had fuel!

When we were in a Greyhawk, pulling a toad, we blocked a driveway once in a while at filling stations. No one ever seemed upset that we did, it was more like they were understanding of our situation. In the beginning, we thought there would be a time we would have to disconnect, but that never happened.

We just completed a 6400 mile trip with our TT. Our tow vehicle has a 21 gallon tank and averages 10-12 mpg, giving us an absolute max safe range of 200 miles. Knowing that gas stations are randomly located along any given route, I did research ahead of time figuring we would travel no more than 190 miles per fill up to locate stations we wanted to use and plan our stops accordingly. I made a daily planner spreadsheet that we had in the vehicle and each morning I would enter the planned gas stops into the GPS so that the stations were easy to find while driving. We also chose spots where we could get lunch on the road at the same place we stopped for gas.

Stopping every three hours works out well for rest breaks and potty stops.

Just a few suggestions that will make the whole fueling process go very smoothly:

1] Plan to stop wekk before your gauge gets to 1/4
2] Plan stops to avoid rush hour traffic
3] Watch signage and pick exits with several [3 or more] stations thus giving yourself multi options to pick one with easy in and out\
4]Don't be in a hurry to get in or out and use your spotter when appropriate

I didn't pay attention to a couple of them a few years ago and paid the price. They put those concrete pylons at the ends of pump islands to protect the pumps and they will eat the sides off your RV if you tangle with them. That memory rides with me each and every time I fuel. No issues since.

Don't forget to get a frequent fueler card at the truck stops. They accrue points that you can use to buy stuff like lunch with! I have used my Pilot card more times than I can count to buy a Subway sub basically for free. I also bought a 300 watt inverter with my points the last time I went to Key West at the Flying-J outside Daytona to hookup to watch tv as I boondocked in their RV parking area also for free. :-)

A friend of mine pulls campers out of Elkhart, IN and delivers to dealers all over. He, and many like him, have added an extra 100 gal apx. tank that fits in their truck bed. That way they extend their range and can buy fuel where it is cheaper. I do the same thing driving a big rig. I buy fuel where it is cheaper. The tank must be smaller than 119 gallons or you have to have a CDL w/hazmat, etc. He bought one that would fit under his bed cover and had it installed with fuel valves, etc.

Get an additional or larger fuel tank! Picked up a 50 gal auxiliary tank/tool box for my Ram diesel. Can go almost a 1,000 miles between fill ups. Definitely have a choice when and where I get fuel.
