My friend who recommended DALIAS Upholstery says she paid $1,360 per captain's chair for her RV. She had some extras done on them so the basic price might be a bit cheaper. It also depends on the fabric you choose which is why both of us went with the more expensive marine grade vinyl. You can phone Omar at 1-714-499-3086 to have him come look at your chairs if you can't get to Vero Beach. Their shared parking lot is small but you could probably arrange to meet him with your RV at a nearby gas station on US1.

I paid $2,915 for the two banquette seats and seat backs and the sofa.

Marine Vinyl Review?

How has the marine vinyl held up? Are you still happy with it after almost 2 years? We are consulting with an upholstery shop in our area that recommended marine vinyl, so we are researching that as an option.

After 8 years our Tri-fold sofa started shedding its skin, so to speak. Solved the problem…bought a new Love seat recliner this past weekend at a local furniture store. Perfect fit with a great fabric, and it was on sale for the holiday. Just hauled the old one to the dump.

I had both my Jayco Precept captain's chairs upholstered for about $3000. That included removing and replacing them from the RV since they had to be taken to an upholstery shop. There is no way I could have done that since they are heavy, and it involves removing large fasteners. Anyway, the upholstery job matched the original appearance of the chairs exactly but looked even better. They also used high quality, thicker automobile vinyl.

So I am happy since the frames of the existing chairs were of good quality. It just makes me furious that Jayco allowed such poor quality fabric to be used in their RV's since they are supposed to have the reputation of a high quality RV producer. The fabric they used looked terrible after only a few years.

It's funny how on the 2024 Pinnacles they're using a better grade fabric now instead of the pleather. Maybe feedback finally made it to the right place.

My wife made wheel covers for the 5th wheel using marine vinyl. We have used them outside for 10 years. Still like new.

Recovered everything

Cost me $9000 and I had every piece of “leather” replaced with marine grade vinyl. Came out great. They came to my RV, disassembled everything, took it to their shop, came back 6 weeks later and put it all back in. Really happy with the end result. Disappointed that I had to do it. 2019 precept 34G that I purchased new.
