Furrion vision S observation camera system no power

Bought a travel trailer 1,000 miles from home. Exploring the country and learning the rig while we travel home has been an experience.

The one thing that has me stumped.
I can't get power to the rear camera.

When it's plugged into the 12 volt cigarette adapter cord it works fine. Mount it to the rear is the new travel trailer in the prepped spot. Nothing. No power indicator light.

All other trailer and TV lights on.
I even tried reverse in case that wire only got power with backup lights. Still nothing.

I guess I'll have to get my volt meter and check to see if there is any voltage on the line.

Maybe I need the adapter. But how would you know if you need the 7 way adapter?

If anyone has insight. Thanks.
Would love to see the traffic behind me

Turn on your headlights and see what happens, you have to have them on.

I wish that was the only issue.

Headlights definitely on.

The only other thing I can think of is the wiring to the camera prep area isn't hot. Needs to be connected at the other end somewhere?

Not sure though. Think it would be in same circuit as all the running lights. And they are all on.

On some models Jayco installed a switch for the camera.
Ours in our 5th is in the water connection area that also has the cable satellite connections and tank valve handles

YMMV

I had the same arrangement on my 2017. Never understood how Jayco could be so inconsistent in how the supplied power to the camera.

Jayco224BHW, have you tried reaching out to their customer service?
