generator issue

Hello. I have a DuroMax Generator with 2 -120v 15 amp standard household plugs and one 30 amp 120/240v circuit that is made for a 4 prong plug. If I keep the generator's 30 amp circuit on the 120v only mode, I should be able to safely provide the RV power thru the generator's 30 amp circuit, IF the 4 prong plug can be adapted to attach to the RV's 50 amp power cord, and therefore it's power distribution system. Does this make sense?

Thanks

The first thing I would do is go to the manufacturer's web site and download the owner's manual to see what it recommends.

From your post I am guessing you have a 50 amp rig that you want to plug into the generator which is rated at 30 amps. It sounds reasonable as long as you don't overload the generator by turning on too many items at the same time.

As far as an adaptor, I saw this on Amazon which allows you to connect to a twist lock plug, which is on your generator, to the standard RV 50 amp power cord.

I am just guessing here so recommend further investigation.

Thanks Jim. I think that is my solution.
