Generator question

I have a 2018 jayco eagle ht with a 1500 AC unit . I also have a Yamaha 2000 generator, do you think it would run my AC unit if everything else was turned off?

Short answer, yes.
Long answer, maybe. It would definitely help if you installed a soft start kit to the A/C unit. Without it, you will most likely put the generator into overload.

Charts can be found online that tell you how much juice an AC and most appliances consume.
Perhaps Google: How much electricity does an RV air conditioner use.

I have a 2018 eagle 322rlok w 2 15,000 btu a/c that I have installed micro-airs in - I also have installed a hardwired ems w a monitor.

When I’m running my a/c from my igen 4500 it says it is using 12 amps at 120 volts and I can run them both simultaneously.

You should have no issues as long as you don’t try to run to many other loads at the same time with your honda if you install a micro-air.

Look at some of the youtube channels about the micro-air for a coupon code to get a discount.

That is the cheapest one but worth the money if you are using 2000 watt generator.
Use AIRSTREAM in the coupon code and get $40.00 (I think) off.

That is the correct model and I recommend getting the install kit as it makes it easier - I also picked up some connectors at lowes so I could easily remove it if needed for warranty concerns as I installed this on my one month old rv w 2 years of rv warranty remaining.

I have pictures of the install if interested (I actually sent them my pictures to add to their installation library)

Call them they have great customer service and will walk you through it.

I have a friend who did install one of these on his home ac since he has a home backup generator and wanted to run his house ac during a power failure (I think he got the more industrial version)

This is from their site about the 3 ton reference:

What does 3-ton mean?
This means an EasyStart rated for 3 tons can operate a compressor up to 36,000 BTU of heating or cooling capacity. The standard EasyStart models easily handle the typical 13.5K or 16K air conditioners found in many applications.
