Generator time incrementing

I have a new 2018 Designer and the generator time display by the interior control panel keeps incrementing. The generator is not running and the house batteries are fully charged on this 5th wheel. Any ideas on what to check are appreciated.

I did call Onan and they stated since it's a 5.5 KW generator that reading would come from some Jayco device.

Don't know where Jayco connects it but sounds like it has 12volts even when genset is not running . Most hour meters use a 12volt source when generator is running.
