Getting rid of odors?

Do any of you have any special way to get rid of odors in your RV? It was bound to happen eventually, but my youngest daughter decided to get sick to the stomach all over her bunk. Sheets are in the washer and we cleaned the area and sprayed it down with Lysol. We now have the trailer sitting there with all the windows and roof vents open.

Anything else we can do to get rid of the smell?

New RV? I always look for an excuse to upgrade. Lol. Or maybe some fabreeze on the mattress and surrounding area.

LOL. This one is just over 4 months old. I don't think I can justify that.

I'll have to pick up some Fabreeze tomorrow. Thank goodness we had plastic sheets under the bedding. At least the mattress didn't get soaked.

Haha so is mine got it in June.
I'm sure it will be just fine. And hope she's feeling better now.

Thanks. Yea, I think she feels a little better already. Talk about a short camping trip. We no more that set up and got ready to turn in and it happened. At least we weren't far from home.

If all else fail you can buy or rent an ozonator. Motels use them and some car dealers so I would guess they work.

Never tried one myself so just a thought on my part.

Great idea. Thanks. I think my local equipment rental place has them. I'll see how bad it is in the morning. We literally left it at camp with all the windows open.

I've never heard of one of these but looked it up on Amazon. I think I'll buy one after reading the reviews!

For the price of that one, it would be worth buying instead of trying rent one.

Ozium is the best deodorizer I've ever run across, bar none. I'm told it's the #1 choice in coroner's offices. Walmart (auto section) or Amazon.

Glad to hear you daughter is better..

Febreeze and ozone. If other fabrics involved then a good cleaner may be needed.

Thanks again everyone. A round a fabreeze and a good scrubbing and all is well. I'm definitely going to invest in one of those ozone machines soon in the event that this happens again.

Just be careful in the use of ozone. It is a reactive gas. It will cause premature ageing of rubber and plastic parts.
