getting to know our Octane...

We are in the getting to know our new to us Octane phase...always funnny and not so funny quirks to figure out.
I swear we have never run out of fresh water with our other toy haulers, but we keep running low or out of water. grrr. 100 gallons my foot. the 35 gallon grey water tank became full and the pump was sucking air around the same time. The fresh water was filled until the over flow hoses started to drain, and they sure did drain for a long time. The sensors said the fresh was still full when they finally stopped though.
Must need a new LP and CO alarm. twice now they have gone crazy. not so fun.
Electric water setting on hot water tank does not seem to work, LP works great though.
like I said, learning the quirks is fun...

Ah, the learning curve.

Did you tow the trailer with full fresh water tanks? Most of us plug our vent tubes to keep the water IN the water tank when on the road. Those tubes tend to siphon a healthy percentage of the water and distribute along the road.

Check your trailer battery voltage. Low voltage will trigger that LP/CO alarm, too. Or maybe a dog passing gas near that sensor??? That has been reported on this forum, too.

Have a great time and let us know what you learn.

Thank you. We traveled with the fresh tanks full, and filled up after we got there. Shorter on water than we should have been both times. We will add a stopcock valve to the overflows then.
