Goodyear Beast Tires
Have a 2018 Pinnacle 36KPTS ordered. One of the upgrades is the Goodyear Beast tire. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this tire.
Thanks

Are you sure it isn't Goodyear "Best" tire. Cannot find anything called a Goodyear "Beast".
If it is the Goodyear Endurance, get them. You will be happy!

Thanks Murff,
I should have been more specific in my post. It is the Endurance. Jayco sent me a flyer that actually lists the Endurance as the BEAST.
I was interested if anyone else has any additional knowledge or first hand experience with this new tire. It is being advertised as a new design with higher load and speed ratings, improved sidewall construction, all in an "E" load range.

I have them and like them and so far have roughly 5,000mi on them. However, they have been out for less than a year so there isn't any long-term info on them.

The "Beast" tire was Goodyear's answer to replace their Marathon Trailer tire line, that had a reputation of failure. Goodyear's Marathon tire was manufactured in China.
Their official name for this tire is the Endurance Line of trailer/RV tires, they are made in USA, and got their nickname because of the quality & construction Goodyear put into the tire to make sure they didn't have another Lackluster tire like the Marathon.
Side note: I have the 2018 Pinnacle 36KPTS, and both my Wife & I couldn't be happier.

I have the Goodyear Endurance tries in load range D on my lighter trailer. They have over 7,000 miles on them now and still look new. I had no problems with the Rainiers it came with but I do feel it rolls and tows better now.

How much did you get them for, and from where?

I also have the Endurance tires they so far have been great but only about 2k -3k on them so far.
I got mine from discount tire. I found them online, they price matched and they also gave me a 100 visa card some promo they were having at the time. 235/80/16 e ended up at $123 and change per tire (sans the tax and mounting).

Just looked at our soon to be 38REFS, gvw is 16995, unloaded is 13735. It has the Endurance load range E. I'm not feeling comfortable with the tires. I know in the past few years they offered an option for G rated tires. Not for 2019. I forgot to look at the speed rating. Think I am worring too much? I've had several blowouts on previous trailers.

Look up your tire size to see the load carrying capacity and speed rating of the Endurance "E"
https://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires...ce/sizes-specs
I think you are correct and need a "G" on the Pinnacle.
The Endurance are a new line so they don't appear in any trailer tire rankings I can find but the reviews are very favorable. Getting a set on my Eagle Thursday.

I have been using G614's on my rig for almost 4 years and my tire problems have gone away.

Here are some numbers you may want to ponder.
Loaded, your 38REFS will probably weigh approx. 15,500 lbs.---maybe more. Assuming 3,100 lbs. of pin weight (20%) that leaves you with 12,400 lbs. of axle weight, which transposes to 3,100 lbs. of weight on each tire. If you loaded your 38REFS to its 16,995 lb. GVWR you would have approx. 3,400 lbs. on each tire (again, assuming 20% of pin weight).
Most Load Range E tires have a load rating of approx. 3,600 lbs., so that would leave you with approx. 200-500 lbs. of load capacity remaining (based on the above scenarios). Many G-rated tires have a load rating of 4,000-4,100 lbs. That would increase your remaining load capacity (per tire) to 600-1000 lbs. under the same conditions.
There are no guarantees, but one can reasonably assume the G-rated tires (with a higher load rating than the E-rated tires) will lower your chances of a tire failure.

Our 2018 Pinnacle 36KPTS has the Goodyear Endurance 255/85R16 tires on it. I believe the other Pinnacles use the same tire. According to the Goodyear web site, the 255/85R16 has a load rating of 4,080lbs. and an "N" speed rating (87 mph).
Between December and this May we have towed the 5er close to 6K miles at 65 to 70 mph and the tires seem fine.

This tire has some great specs. Outside of Goodyear, I'm guessing replacement options are going to be very limited based on the size and the very high load rating of this tire.

I love having the Endurance tires. The 87mph speed rating is great. Now I don't worry so much if I have to go over 65 to pass someone, especially since I am near max load on my tires.
FWIW, I read a statement from a Maxxis factory rep who stated that their tires were rated for over 80mph, but that import rules for the US stated that they could only be marked with a 65mph max. Don't know if it is true or not. I have not heard of many having problems with that brand.

Just put a set of Endurance tires on our FW to replace Marathons that were 6 1/2 years old. The trailer seems to roll a bit better and certainly doesn't make near as much noise when backing into our parking spot on the driveway. Our's are E rated and are rated to carry 2,830 per tire at 80 PSI. Our total weight we can carry is 9,950 so these tires are more than capable of carrying the weight of our trailer. Paid about $96 per tire from Discount Tire, after the $100 rebate on the card we are supposed to be getting. Adding the $30 per tire for de-mounting, mounting and balancing, net price per tire was around $126 each.
