According to the article, this only involves 40,000 G159 tires made from 1996 to 2003. It's interesting that the number of deaths/injuries increased each period on up to 2015 (as the tires got older). This begs the question - why would anyone still be driving on tires that old in 2015?
There's a lot of questions to be answered but 2 most important are why did the RV manufacturers keep using them? And contracts had nothin to do with that. Then or even how was Goodyear able to hide it.
