An article for those who claim Arizona is strictly prohibited from any grey water.

Interesting but not inclusive of BLM/Az State Trust Land, or National Forests.

First, I have a BS degree in Plant Science and also consider myself an avid environmentalist
I am impressed! I have a masters in education but it does not make me an expert in much of anything.

Spouting degrees is, well, let's stop there.

I'm so sorry for my post. I thought the topic was about putting grey water on the campfire, and not defining "grey water".

I am on a permanent campsite and I have owned the property for 35 years. We have an outhouse with porta-potty and don't use the black tank. I simply drain the grey tank when it gets full. We can smell a faint odor of "soap", mostly hair shampoo and dawn dish soap.

It's a pleasant odor and I haven't had a mouse problem....ever.

The topic of dumping grey water seems to rank right up there with religion and politics...

I think I'd rather talk religion and politics.

I never claimed to be an expert. I just cited my degree to establish my bona fides in support of my expressed opinion. You can accept that, or not; it matters not to me.

(As an aside, my daughter also has a master's in education, and I proudly consider her an expert in teaching children -- which she's done for the past 15 years. If she didn't consider herself an expert at her job, I know she'd find another line of work -- teaching isn't for everyone.)
