Hanging a mirror in the RV?
We are getting ready for the arrival of our new trailer and one thing we would like to do is add a couple of mirrors. On our old trailer there was a basic mirror fastened with mirror clips. I am wondering a few things...

- if you hang a mirror using clips does this give the mirror a bit of wiggle room to avoid cracking.. Or we're they just going with the cheap option?
- has anyone here hung a mirror with a frame? Was it a special mirror, or just standard?

I would appreciate hearing from your experience.

Glass is always transported in a vertical position.. less prone to cracking that way... so I would just go with what ever will hold it to the wall...

Our Montana 5er had mirrors mounted on a wall and on the bathroom door. They used plastic holders and screws to hold them in place. I have also been told that there was glue on the back side. These mirrors were 24x48 in.

How would an Acrylic mirror work? Obviously not as nice as a glass mirror, but you would not have to worry about breaking.

We put a full length mirror from Walmart on the back of the bathroom door. Used plastic mirror clips, 2 each on the top and bottom, 3 each on both sides.

we put a cheap Target full length mirror on a wall in our TT. It was one of those cheap ones with a frame we used mirror clips and industrial Velcro as well.

Sounds like none of these broke.. this is good news.. I will go with a cheap walmart one, so we can afford the experiment if it fails.

Our trailer has 2 mirrors installed by the manufacturer. A full length mirror inside the bathroom door and one by the entry door. They are held by traditional mirror clips. We have two additional mirrors in the facing of the medicine cabinet doors retained with silicone sealer. The trailer is 9+ years old and I've not had any problems.

All my mirrors are beveled glass mirrors.

Smile Some good ideas here
Hello, I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would take a chance and see if anyone replied to it.....

I have a tiny tiny space in my trailer and I am looking for ideas (and you seem to have several) on maximizing my space. I initially was looking on how to hang a mirror in the trailer, but I would also like some ideas on organizing small closet spaces. I am going to use your idea on the coat rack and add a bench with inside storage like you did (great idea)! Do you have any other suggestions? Has anyone tried hanging an magnetic strip to attach knives or other less sharp utensils on the wall for lack of storage?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as I am new to the trailer thing!
