Has anyone stayed at Loomis (CA) RV Park

I reserved a spot at the Loomis (CA) RV Park next month. When I emailed they said they were filling up fast, so I called to book for 3 nights. Unfortunately their web site is non-existent, other than to say "under construction" (wonder for how long). I'm going to look them up on google earth, but was wondering if anyone has stayed there before.

Thanks much!

Loomis

I live in the area and my parents have stayed at this RV park. Did you have a specific question?

The reviews on the web site are extreme, but there is a grain of truth in what they say.

I have used the dump station and filled propane there on a regular basis over the last 10 years and the park has had its ups and downs.

It is not a park I would go to as a destination, but if you need a place to stay as you travel through it would be fine.

Hi Craiger,

My cousin lives in Lincoln, so I'll be staying there for 3 nights so we can visit. I read the reviews, so now I'm really wondering what I'm getting myself into. I talked to a gal named Becky the first time I called and she seemed really nice. I looked at the site from Google Earth, but I wasn't able to find site numbers to figure out which one would be mine. (Hey, you never know how detailed the image will be.) When I called back for a reservation, I was told I would get #46; she said it was near something, but I don't remember what.

I just read the thread on campground etiquette and now I'm wondering if the site is near the laundry/showers/?? and if I'll have problems with people walking through my site. Oh joy! Looks like I might need a "no trespassing" sign.

I guess I'm mainly wondering if I'm going to regret staying here. It will be my 3rd place to stay at, as I've never done this before. I'll be there in April, if that makes any difference.

Hey, just like the princess ... ya gotta kiss a few toads before you find a prince. Every campsite has both strong and weak features, but it is what you make of it as a camper. Sometimes the worst places leave us with the best memories! (like when we ended-up in an undeveloped site with a caravan of gypsies ~ fantastic experience). Guess I'm saying ... see the glass half-full.

I would suggest that you call back, the shower house could be the least of your problems.
Just saying!
