Yes this is what I want to hear, I just let my wife see what you post and she said that sound good, so what campgrounds close by that are nice?

we are off to Arizona this fall. We will be boondocking some of the time and need to know more about generators. We have a 3500 invertor generator and want to know if it will run our 1500 A/C.

From what I've been seeing it will but if it do you want be able to run the microwave and hair dryer.

I'm getting ready to plan a trip for September to Camp Verde AZ.

Generators

We are going to be at Quartsite for a few months.
Looking forward to doing a few side trips while we are there.

How big is your trailer? That AC unit might not be enough to keep you comfortable in 115F heat. Our 35ft with two 15k AC units would be marginal in AZ summers. FYI, Sep is still 'summer' in the valley. Oct it might start to drop below 100F.

We have a 31ft Jayco Jayflight. We will be there the first week in October.
Thanks for your reply. We will keep it in mind.

What you do if you want to run the microwave turn the a/c and don't use the hair dryer...in other words... only run 1 at a time.

You'll find out you won't use the micr or the hair dryer that often anyway and the a/c in November is probably only once in awhile IF it's REALLY hot. October of course will be hot.

Enjoy the warm weather!!

trip

Thanks a bunch for your reply.
We are fairly new at RV'ing and trying to learn all the ins and outs.
The safe use of electrical appliances etc. is a learning curve for us.

We are in Phoenix elev about 1050, our 3500 Champion did start the 15000 BTU unit. But the farther north you go higher and higher in elevation. Not sure if it will work or not above 3500'.We are installing a micro air soft start should start almost anywhere! Enjoy
