Heater?

Does my heater run on propane? I own a Granite Ridge 3100SS. And if so, how do I fill it?

Your heater, also called the furnace, runs off the propane supply. Does your other appliances work? Namely the cooktop? If so, then your propane tank isn’t empty. If not, check to see if you can switch to the second tank (if you have one) and see if it works. If neither work, you know you need to refill the propane tanks which can be done at any propane place or if you have the 20 pound bottle (like your BBQ) you can just get an exchange with a full one.

Most RV dealers can fill the MH tank. Also you can go to a propane supplier, but with either you need to drive it there.

The furnace does operate on propane along with 12 Volt DC control power. The 12V DC power runs the control board and the fan. Just an FYI, the fan will run a single 12V RV battery down to low voltage within a day, if it needs to run often. I believe your Granite Ridge is a MH, so you most likely have an onboard propane tank, probably about a 45-55 gallon tank. It is located under the MH. The bad part of an onboard tank, is you have to bring the whole MH to the filling station, to have it refilled. You can buy an adapter, called an “extend a stay” that will allow you to connect a portable 5-30 pound propane tank to the MH.

Good Luck.

You can get the propane refilled at most RV parks, too. They'd be more helpful in finding and filling an on-board tank than the local gas station w/propane service.
