Hello guys I need a water pump

Well, let me explain, I'm trying to get water from a army 5gals water can into my flesh water tank I think I need a pump. Is there a water pump that let me put water into my flesh water tank?

The reason is when we go out to our storage to get our 5th wheel for the first time since I put it in storage I want to have some water in my fresh water tank.

I can't bring my 5th wheel home, or I should say I would not prefer to do that and I don't want to get water from where I have it in storage because the water is not fit for nothing but flushing out the black tank, so I need you guys knowledge.

I bought two military water cans hoping on getting at least 5 or 10 gals of water into my fresh water tank before we leave to go on our first trip, the way I was trying to do it didn't work or what kind I get, oh, I should mention that there is no power to plug into unless I can plug it in inside my truck. Thank you for your comments.

Here's an Amazon link for pumps that are powered from a drill: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=drill+wat...refreshed_1_17

There are also hand pumps available. A local hadware store likely has either type.

Read the section of your owners manual that describes how to put water into your fresh water tank from a non-pressurized source. Your installed fresh water pump probably has a mode where it will draw water from the cans into your tank. It's often called "country fill" or something like that. You just have to align the valves in your utility center correctly and connect a short piece of hose from the city water connection into the cans. Turn on the pump and it should work.

Brian usually has solid advice. Choice #3 is what is mentioned above.

Get one of these or similar and rewire it to connect to your 7 pin on the truck using the battery charge circuit. Works great. Harbor Freight or Northern Tool have similar pumps.

Yeah, I did that I turn the switch on City water, power filled to tank, and even boondocking or something like that and I was using the on-board pump.

If you don't have 120 available get the 12 volt. You can run it off your truck battery or as I said buy a 7 pin male RV plug and wire it to use the one on the back.of the truck.
