Help! Need advice

This is very hard on me. We found a seasonal site to park at least for the rest of this season. We both agreed that We needed to get a larger trailer. So Off I went to find us a bigger Jayco. I was so excited when I found a 2014 Jay Flight that would fit the bill and it was in our price range. It was at the CW dealer where we bought the X213, so yesterday we went to look at it. I was in love with it instantly and DW was very impressed too. Just as we were to walk out she said the most dreadful words I ever heard, "Let's see what else they have like this". Being the loving husband I am I said "sure, this will be hard to beat but OK." It was 15 minutes and the sales guy showed her (us) a Coleman 262BH. It's a 2016 and is in our price range. DW is just in love with it. I was trying as hard as I could to knock it down but it's actually a very nice unit.

Any experience or advice you may have would be great.

Thanks,

If the DW is happy, everybody is happy!!!!
Chances are the unit will be fine. If in the event that there is issues down the road, you don't to be the one that the wife says "I told you so"!!!!!!!!!!!

Units are built similarly enough that I wouldn't worry. Even our beloved Jaycos have an entire forum dedicated to "problems and issues."

I don't subscribe to this thought, but if she likes it and you are ok with it, go for it.

UPDATE!
CW could not put together the terms we requested. Not really surprised we really just bought the X213. According to the salesman, "the bank values the Jayco better than the Coleman".(Score) After talking it over we both agreed that the 2014 Jay flight was not exactly what we wanted, It was not as roomy and didn't have awning lights. So now we will shop until we find the perfect Jayco. Now all that is left is telling the sales guy "thanks but no thanks" My gut says he will not take it lightly. Either way I will be ranting or raving here and on rv.net. I did talk to another CW in our area and they agreed that some of the "other guys" are a little aggressive.

I wish I had a porch light instead of that extremely bright LED awning light strip! They look great on the lot, during the day time. But the first time camping when I turned it on, it light the whole campground, I think! It is too bright, for my taste. I like a dimmer light that doesn't destroy the campfire atmosphere.

(And it's not easy as it seems to add a dimmer switch! there are several threads on here addressing that very issue.)

You might check Burlington RV's inventory and then give them a call if you see something you want. It's midsummer so prices should be good and they may be more willing to deal. We bought ours from Burlington, but did it in late May and didn't do so great on price.

Another option is Wagners in Sheboygan, they are also a Jayco dealer.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of CW.

Update 2:
Told the salesman we are going to pass. He was not very receptive at first, but after I told him I'm a member of RV.net and JO he changed his tune. The funny thing is the other day he told me and DW that they worked really hard to get us the deal they presented. LOL sprained his finger writing or typing? Maybe he bruised his ear calling the finance guy (Who I respect a lot). DW works 12 hour shifts at a hospital, and I'm doing double duty at work, Seriously doubt he worked harder. DW decided we are going to find the perfect unit for us and if it works out so be it. there are several Jayco models the will fit the bill. the CW in our area do not carry Jays, so we are going to try some other dealers.

The Coleman line is IMO a step down from Jayco and the numbers seem to reflect it.

Good call.

Don't settle on what the sales rep has to say.

The guy fouled up completely for us. We did buy a near-perfect unit. But only because I got curious about a bunch of trailers that were stacked up near the back door of the showroom.

I went to 3 different places, searched online, etc.

Keep looking. Don't settle. The Right One is out there.

I had thought the LED lights on the awning would be great but I'm glad now ours didn't come with them. I would think they would attract a lot of bugs when they're on at night and who needs that? We're happy with our own little "porch" light. To each his own though. That's what keeps this interesting!

Great to have options but this is one that I have no interest in having either.

BTW, I once had a sailboat named GloryB.

Turns out DW doesn't care for the awning LED's either... learn something everyday.
