Help -- slideout issue
It's a 2017 Jayco Melbourne 24M. The slideout is a PowerGear product. It holds the Murphy bed.
This past week, the slideout got balky. It would move in or out about 2 inches at a time. Finally, we managed to close it and return home.
I had suspected that because we needed more orange blocks (4) than normal to level it at the campground that perhaps the frame and box were torqued slightly. And that at home in the driveway, it would work normally.
No. Same problem.
It will move 1-3 inches, then stop. Sometimes, one end of the slideout will move more rapidly. Sometime, the other moves more rapidly.
Is this something simple? Will it correct itself? Three years ago, we had the same problem, once, and it seemed to correct itself.
Nothing is jammed anywhere. The gear rails are not gunked up. Nothing out of the ordinary has occurred.
I fret that if I take it to a shop I have used in the past, it'll sit for weeks, waiting to get worked on. Which is typical.
