The TV cables you buy in the retail stores will probably suffice for hooking up your camper, but they are mostly junk.

If you have cable TV at home, you may check with the provider. My provider (Suddenlink) will supply lengths of cable for free. All I have to do is walk into the local office and ask. That cable is of a much higher quality than the stuff you get in the stores.

Is the tt antenna really good for anything? Have a new flat screen we just installed. It doesn't seem to pick up any channels from the antenna. I figured the new hd tv's couldn't pick up these signals from the antenna.?

On my only trip out with my new Eagle, I found the antennae worked really well. After years of using rabbit ears with my old trailer (and only getting one or two stations), I was able to pick up 6-8 with the built-in antennae. Just make sure you push the power boost button, and rotate your antennae toward the nearest big city.

I have a Winegard antenna on my X23B. I wasn't impressed at first as it needed some help. I added the Winegard Wingman and that, in addition to turning on the signal booster amplifier found at the TV's 12 volt outlet, helped considerably.

As for pointing and aiming the antenna for best reception, if you have internet access, use TVFool.com to find the direction of the broadcast towers for any given zipcode.

X2. I also added the Winegard Wingman and that easy mod really helped reception. Thanks for the idea of signal direction by using TVfool.com. I'll try that on my next trip.

hboy - assuming you are pointing the TT OTA ANTENNA at a known local town transmitting the Natl Broadcast signal. Once pointed and the antenna panel boost button pushed ON then you have to go to the TV menu, select ANTENNA, and scan for digital signals. If you don't pick up any digital signals then move the TT antenna a few degrees one way or the other and scan again.

Like others on here we get pretty good High DEF TV reception using our OTA BATWING antenna. You just have to point the antenna correctly first than scan for channels everytime you stop.
