There is hose I was looking at in Lowe's the other day that's one that flattens out when you turn off the water and it would be easy to store. I was concerned about it being safe for drinking water and it shows it is.

There are two different hoses, one is blue and safe for potable water. The black ones are not listed for potable water.

My wife still has a full head of hair and drank out of a hose as a child. Must be a man thing. I have lost most of my hair and the grey is invading also. I still drink from the city water hose.(no nozzle please)
I also hook the ends of my water hoses ends together with the pressure regulator inline. I have been doing this since our first camp trailer in 1997. I have never had anything in the hoses, not even a lizard or bee. I also let the water run at the spicket, hook up the hose, flush the hose than hook up the travel trailer. I also do this procedure when filling the trailer tank at home or when someone is spending the night in "our spare room." I do like the poop sticker. I am going to have to print one for the black tank flush that is inches away from the city water hookup.

If you are looking for the collapsible hoses look for Zero G. They are now being sold everywhere from Walmart, Lowe’s, Amazon, etc.

I bought from walmart, a round large laundry basket and the hoses just coil up into it as I feed them in.

It's probably the wrong time of year to do it, but I bought a plastic Christmas wreath box at Lowe's a couple of years ago and it works GREAT. There's room in there for two long hoses, they coil up naturally since it's a round container, the bottom is solid so if any water leaks out it's contained (I always connect both ends of the hose when I get it in there), and there's room in the middle for pressure regulator, etc. The hoses stay clean and are really easy to store.
