How high is too high?

Hello-

We camp at a seasonal campground where we leave our camper for the year. Our lot has quite a bit of grade from back to front, as everything flows down to the river. The front of our current camper faces the river, and is elevated in the air a couple feet to level off the camper.

We are considering a larger camper. At our CG, we see many larger campers that have the front quite elevated off the ground to level off the camper due to the grade. Some seem really high off the ground.

Are there any safety issues with having to deal with that much grade? Is there a general notion of "having one side of the camper x feet off the ground is too high" or anything like that?

Or just be sure to properly support it, and it will be fine?

The way that I see it, it shouldn't make any difference from a safety perspective. Level is level.
If I were raising the front a significant amount, I would use as much blocking as I could under the landing gear. The more that you extend your landing gear (or levelers, if you have that system), the less stable the trailer will feel.

Raising the front may also affect the height of your entry door, but that can easily be rectified (especially at a seasonal site)

Just my opinion.....
