Have Direct TV setup where you press a button and the dish locks on to sats. Would not have it any other way.
TV is on almost 100% of the time while we are inside. Granted it is used mostly for background noise. We like to watch or listen to movies that are stored on the DVR. also have a few favorite programs we like to watch.
We old cronies are inside more than outside these days. When camping at the beach we like to sit outside and listen to our stored music on the outside speakers.

Had one installed because we thought we’d use it or guests would use it when staying with us. All it does it gather dust. We mainly camp in state and national parks. Nature is prettier than the TV. We’ve found that we all will stream on our devices / laptops rather than use trailer electricity for the TV

We just got back from a 5 day trip & only connected the LR TV. It was late & wanted to catch the news for the weather one night - that was it. Taking the 5ver to Missouri next month & DW just wants the TV in the bedroom connected. And for background noise, we have Sirius.

I only watch TV when the weather does not allow me to be outside. Save the TV for the winter months in Wisconsin.

Agreed on quiet kids. Never thought we'd use it that way, but after 4 months of full timing without ever turning on the tvs, we finally bought a cable and set up the smart tv in the coach to stream. Hopefully it wont become an expectation. As a side note, we have used the outside tv to host movie nights on two occasions, which was fun for our kids to be able to hang with 20 other kids and not all be in our coach.

We don't watch that much TV when on the road. We don't have a satellite antenna, only OTA. When on our trip last year to the Rockies and upper plains, Not sure we ever cut it on, except for maybe two or three days while in Salt Lake City.
However, it gets more important when we're tailgating. My wife doesn't like to stay out late, so she will retire to the trailer by 9 pm. She likes to watch OTA TV, either a game if on an OTA station, or some other programming.
Our friend has a satellite so I sit up with him into the late hours talking, sipping, and have a west coast game on the TV. If not for the "Clubhouse" and it's satellite, I'd have one for my trailer for game viewing after our game.

We watch if we want to watch a movie or there is a lull in something we are doing or others are doing and I really do not want to do anything. I guess I like mindless. Otherwise TV is off. But now that I know how to hot spot and I want to watch something I do. I know I should read but right now reading is not on the agenda for me right now. Call me lazy. But no we do not sit inside the camper and watch all day. I do have activities to do like walking.

Why sit inside at camp and watch TV, I can do that at home in more comfort.

TV is typically only used if we are stuck inside in the rain. That is only after we are tired of cards or other games. Keep the radio on most all the time though. Two weeks ago we spent our first weekend in a CG that had cable. Hooked it up when I set up the unit, turned it on long enough to set up the channels and never turned it on again the entire weekend.

Watch tv at night while at Darlington to watch college football or if we are camping an there's a Sat. night NASCAR race. But even then we have it set up outside. Can only recall having it on inside one time an that was first thing in the mornin cause the granddaughter wanted to watch it ehike waiting for breakfast. She hasn't asked to turn it on again since.

Only watch when raining, or early or late when too cold to be out in dark (freezing cold)

We had no TVs in our older campers. This one came with two, so we kept them. The only time we use them is when there is a wash out rainy day, and even then it's mostly just for our 3 year old to keep busy.
