We have owned 3 soon to be four next week.

1989 34ft Suncrest motorhome no slides. kept it for three months

1996 30ft Airstream Integrity 5er 2 slides. Stayed in this for a year and a half

currently in a 2005 Alfa See Ya 5er 3 slides. Have twin boys on the way so we are upgrading next week to a Jayco 375BHFS.

during that time had 3 tow vehicles.
2004 F350 Dually always broke down
1996 F350 SRW was a great truck but not enough power
Currently have a 2008 F350 Dually and its all the truck I need.

My parents owned a pop-up that we used for local camping for years.
We went cross country when I was 14. Parents bought a used 26 foot bunkhouse for that trip.
When the kids were older my parents bought a class C to take to Florida in the winter.

I used that class C when I got married to take my wife to Florida to visit a friend and also go to Disney. The bride fell in love with camping.

We bought a used Nash 22H from her uncle when he upgraded. Just sold the Nash last week.

We have a Jayco 29QBS on order.

1997 Viking pop-up - used. Bought it from my folks after they upgraded. Used it for about a year and then DW decided it was time to go bigger.

2005 Jayco 27BH - used. Had for about a year and a half. Loved it, kids loved it. Had no plans to replace until.....

2012 Jayco 28BHS - used. Found a killer deal in this unit after a random trip to a local camper dealer "just to look". And with 3 kids, the slide makes all the difference in the world!

growing up as a kid, my parents had:
1971 Prowler 24 foot
1975 Prowler 28 foot -- Learned to hook up, tow, back up etc. with this.
1979 Jamboree Class C
1981 Lance Cabover -- learned all about putting them on and taking them off the truck, personally I never dropped it, but I watched my dad drop it....

Once I was out on my own:
1972 Starcraft Pop up
1972 Tiltin Hiltin Cabover -- Hit a low tree branch with this, and had to rebuild about 2/3rds of the cabover.
1981 Wilderness 23 foot
1991 Komfort 5th wheel 26 foot

North Face 4 man 4 season ECW tent.
North Face 2 man 3 season tent.

And not our new Jayco Whitehawk

Currently own my second an 08 Jayco 165BH Sport. My first was a 89Coleman popup. In between owning those I frequently borrowed my Dad's 28' toy hauler. Grew up camping in a 16' Coleman and then upgraded to a 22' Wilderness. Boy we were in the BIG time with that one. I got my own bunk and didn't have to sleep on the floor under the pull out couch my parents slept on. Dad currently has a 35' Palomino fifth wheel. Only borrowed it once.

My dad rented a southwind MH from UHAUL in late 80's and we drove to Nova Scotia. That's when we got the camping bug. He then bought 2 winnebago MH, a 31ft which he traded up to a 34ft which was vandalized and set on fire while in storage. Replaced with a jayco 25ft c-class. I bought a 2007 palomino pop up and now the 2012 184bh slx. Perhaps an idea for future posts would be how or who introduced us to camping?

The first one I camped in was my dad's, and it was a dreadful home-made cab-over topper to a pick-up truck. Apart from a sleeping bench, there were no amenities. I remember getting stuck in the cab-over once ....

We were tent campers for a long time, and then had a series of three VW buses, the first one of which we modified ourselves to make it a camper. When we got tired of having to sleep a la morgue slab, we got a Jayco PUP, which we enjoyed for eight years. Then we got a Rockwood highwall PUP, which we are about to trade in for a Jayco TT.
