Well I'm 65 and DW is 68, yea that's right I married a Cougar :-) I admire those who have the spirit and adventure to sell it all and go full time, though I think it would be fun I don't have the guts to do that. I need to feel the security of having some place permanent to come back to. Besides, where would I keep my John Deere and ATV and boat and pressure washer and my.... and, and, and all those things that I just can't be without :-)

We love our 5er and all the enjoyment it brings us but coming home at the end of a trip is what makes the whole RV thing so special for us.

Congrats to all those adventurous soles who live the full time nomadic life.

Steve

Panhead I can't agree with you more. I could never full time it for all those reasons you mentioned and more but would love to snowbird it for four months in the winter. That's my dream anyway.

x2 on that, Steve. I also need to have someplace to call home. My home base has all the feel of a campground as shown below.

If I hadn't already disclosed where the picture was taken, you would think it's a road leading to a camping area, but it's just my upper driveway (the lower driveway is in the background) leading to the street.

yes I admire those full timers too. Would need a 60ft toy 5er for all my tools probably with 6 axle's. DW is a homebody special in the winter time. I would rather be a snowbird and go south. I am not good enough salesman to convince her. Was thinking to trade the DW for to twenties. But then I need lots of Viagra and upgrade the TT and TV. Also to much snow cleaning here in the mountains. Maybe someday.......

We find 1/4 time is not quite enough, but 1/2 time is a bit too much.
Aiming for somewhere in-between.

But I failed fractions in grade school so we wander around our goal some.

29 here, wife is 26... first child on the way! Been married almost 3yrs and became Jayco owners last year when we bought our 2014 198RD which was subsequently destroyed by hail this summer. Now in the market for something else - definitely another Jay Flight!
