How to add washers to Equalizer Hitch?

Can anyone share how to add a few washers to an equalizer hitch?

I want to adjust my setup a bit but not sure how difficult it is and don't want get in too deep as I don't really know what I'm doing.

Thanks.

Steve

If you are referring to the pin that sets the angle on the hitch ball bracket, it is farily simple. remove the two bolts that hold the hitch pin bracket to the receiver and the pin simply pulls out so you can add additional washers. This is shown as parts 21 and 22 in the following manual.

I think you will have to loosten the two #27 bolts, then #25 bolt, in order to get at the washer pin #21 to add or remove washers to it.

When you re-assemble, tighten bolt #25 first, then the two #27 bolts.

After you have towed the first 50 or so miles, re-check the bolts for proper torque tightness.
