I got it!!
Well to day we picked up our first trailer, 08 Jayco Jay Flight G2 23 ft box. Got it home and started loading it up with STUFF !! But I found out that I still need MORE STUFF before my first outing. Probably in a week or two we will try and get away for a few day, don't want to go to far on our first trip as we are new guys at this. But I did find out on my way home that I need to get extension mirrors for my tow vehicle. Any suggestions on those?

Check out the CIPA extender mirrors. I got a set on Amazon for under $50.00 and they work great. They are very easy to put on and are very secure. They give you another 5 or 6 inches on each mirror. It really makes a difference on what you can see in the mirror. Hope this helps.

Cipa Mirrors Work Great for me
I have them for my 2010 F150. They work well, but look even better. They blend right in, so it looks like it's a stock item on the truck. Check out my pics in the pic forum, you'll see them on my truck (red truck with kayaks on top). MIne were $68. at a local shop.
I'm a little envious of your G2, I have the Jayflight with the same floor plan (22fb). Wuld really like the power awning, not really sure of the other differences ;-)

Thanks for the information, I'll check out some mirrors today.

I guess I was lucky, when I went looking at Richardson's RV this TT was there, fit my tow vehicle and my wallet, so if worked out great. The G2 has a few upgrades but as you said, the power awning is the big thing.

Very nice TT. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we do our 22FB.
I use the CEPA mirror extensions also. They work fine for me. I've heard some people say they vibrate making it hard to see, but I have not had that problem.

Hey Joe. nice tt! Love thoise g2's. Always the little extras that mean alot. As far as towing mirrors I would suggest these - http://hensleymfg.com/products/mckesh-mirrors/
They are a little more expensive, but, I think they will work better for ytou for one reason - tow vehicle width. Your jeep is a mid-size suv (so its narrower) towing a full size trailer. I found that with my mountaineer (also a mid-size) that no matter what clip on mirror I used, I still couldnt see far enough behind the tt. That all changed with the McKesh mirrors. They stick out further than anything you'll find and they are like a part of the truck once you install them. They are a little more money, but beleive me its well spent, especially for us guys towing with mid-size tv's.

I agree, you want the mirrors to be wide enough apart to see well. The outside edge of my std truck mirrors are the same width as the TT, so the clip-ons end up far enough apart to see fully past the TT side. Make sure you have that condition for the mirror spacing width. You would be much happier to have that condition.

CIPA on my F150 as well $55 for the pair at Camping World. I wish they were convex glass instead of flat though.

I agree the strap on mirrors are probably a better choice for an SUV. I was using the CIPA 11650 mirrors which are knockoffs of the McKesh mirrors with my Toyota 4Runner and they worked great. The price was right at $44 each at amazon.com.

I love my CIPA mirrors....my left one does not add much, but the right really helps. They take a few trips to get adjusted to your liking, but once you get them set - they are great.
