I'm with you Murff! The snow is so wet here that some of my trees are starting to come down. Not to mention the rhodies and other plants getting crushed by the snow. Arrrgggghhh!

We live twenty miles west of Chicago, we have not had a measurable snowfall since December 17th, such an odd sight having zero snow cover at this time of the year. Even though we've had a mild winter, we are counting the days until spring arrives.

Definitely a "4 letter" word. That's why we're in FL

I left for work at 5:00 AM and had to deal with 5 inches of snow on my truck here in Snohomish, WA.

It's a "love-hate" thing for me. We are just south of Seattle and had about 6" or so. Being so wet it has wreaked havoc on a lot of shrubs and trees around our place. The house next door, which is vacant at the moment, had a good portion of a large tree out front snap due to the weight. Of course it fell halfway across my driveway so I've spent the morning clearing it so we can get out. At least it didn't hit my truck....

But it sure is pretty when you stop and take a look.....

Same here in Indiana although the northern part of the state has been hammered by lake effect. I lived in Seattle from '93 to '00 [I'm partly responsible for introducing Outback Steakhouse to the PNW] and if we got 4'' of snow the whole city shut down. Their probably better prepared now but normally snow in Seattle is/was somewhat rare.

It's been a good snow year for us, and I have to say I'm still enjoying it

It seems to be about the same nowadays - a few flakes and folks still go nuts. Not sure the area is any better prepared - but it does seem like we have fewer of these events in the low lands and the south sound than what I remember back in the 70's/80's. I'm fortunate enough to be able to work from home regularly so I no longer contribute to the panic-stricken commute on days like this..

Nah!

Seattle still shuts down with less than 4 inches!

Thanks for Outback!

We've had a winter's worth of snow in a month, and now they're anticipating flooding through the Red and Assiniboine River valleys. It kind of dictates where we camp early in the year. In 2011, one of our favourite campgrounds was basically wiped off the map due to flooding, and didn't open for another two or three years after that, with $30 million in necessary repairs.

High about 70 today. Low was 51 this morning. Loading and leaving out this morning and working all afternoon on bedroom slide that quit working. I'll take my sunny south anytime!
