If you hate waxing your trailer then you would really hate to wax our 33rlds and the Jayco Bungalow we have.

I use Nu Finish. http://www.nufinish.com/ It's really easy on and off and seems to work well. You can put it on in full sun too because I could never get all of mine in the shade it seems. Use some Awesome from the dollar store for the Black streaks and I use regular car wqash stuff from turtle wax to wash.

I hate waxing the trailer also. For a quick job I use Thunderbolt water less wash/wax.

I use the same stuff on the trailer that I use on my truck...Eagle One wax as you dry stuff.

I hate it too but it's something that needs to be done.
As a side note, DO NOT use "Awesome" from the dollar store to clean the exterior or you will find yourself having to wax a lot more often. It will clean the black streaks, right along with anything else, including wax, that might be on the camper... Ask me how I know...... :0

You're right, I only use it before I wax anyway and we have aluminum on ours so that might make a difference. Also I water it down, but I have used it for years with no problems like this.

The Turtle Wax Ice is what my dealer recommended and will not harm the graphics over time.
I use Turtle Wax Zip Wax carwash then use the Ice when I want to throw some wax on it.

I used a combo wash/wax solution that's for RVs (maybe by Thetford?)

It kept my 2008 19H looking nice and white.

I also hate waxing and have no desire to start with my new 28DSBH!

Your in the right crowd! I too hate to wax. I have tried a few things. I was not overly impressed with turtle wax that was a combo wash/wax, I do not recall which type I bought. I am going to try McGuires wash/wax this year. As for a pre cleaner, to get the bugs and black streaks off. I use “Spray Power” by Crown. Works great, the bugs are sliding off the before I can grab the hose end brush. I have never checked, but I bet it removes the wax too.

Those using Wax/Wash combos, be careful not to get it on the rubber roof. Those was/wax combos contain petroleum distillates which will damage the roof.

I use Meguires NXT 2.0 synthetic wax on the sides of TT twice a year. PIA job, takes better part of a day to wash and then wax the entire unit.

For wash I use Meguires Deep Crystal Car Wash Soap. It works great on the roof as well as sidwalls. It contains no petroleum distillates, at least from what I read on the MSDS sheet. I was the trailer after each trip, sometimes before if its been a while too. With frequent washing, the NXT2.0 wax holds up quite well.

I use Protect All, wipe it on and off in one shot. Seems to work fine on my 334RBTS. Not sure if anyone else has tried it and had similar success.

I tried the wax called ice.... it is a spray on wipe off wax that can be used in direct sunlight on all surfaces ... it really brought out the brown on the bottom of our 2015 eagle ... I used it on windows and black trim and all and it worked real well .... also easy to wipe off

I use Protect All too. It seems to work well if the surface already has a good finish. The best thing about the Protect All is that it works well with the cheap decals that adorn RV's.

Waxing came to mind when we bought our little 17Z. We looked at Jayco trailers up to 28'. Standing on that lot in the summer sun, with memories of waxing our old Flair motorhome using a step ladder, the 28' and 26' units lost their luster! The 17Z is a wax friendly unit!

Most any synthetic wax will work well, I even use that on my TV. They are so much easier that regular wax that you are more likely to do it often and much more effective than the wash and waxes.

This video convinced me to try Meguires Cleaner Wax.

http://youtu.be/JArYKsP6UU8

I haven't tried it yet, but it's only a matter of time. I figure I'll use this to spot clean/wax the streaks, then go over the whole thing with a cleaner/wax like Ice... That's the plan for now anyway. Last time I washed with another cleaner/wax and it worked pretty well, but I think I'd like to have a bit more of the wax. I don't think I'll ever be able to use the wipe on/wipe off wax, my rig is WAY too big, that would take me 2 days! And that assumes I'd physically be able to do it without my arms falling off!

It takes me longer to spot clean/was/dry than it does to wax.
