I have no fridge light!

So my 2012 X20e does not have a fridge light, which gets very annoying when the kids sleeping and we can't turn on the lights...

Anyone have a remedy for this or same issue? I've found one that I think can work on ebay, I'll post up a link.

Looks like it would work. My only concern would be with the humidity inside the fridge, and mounting would have to be with double sided sticky tape or velcro. Cant exactly screw it into the fridge

Didn't think of the humidity, gonna go with lithium batteries though. And double sided tape will be used for installation.

The only reason I bring it up is on the light, it states on the specs about humidity.

Double sided tape would work... until a battery change is needed. Real PITA. Velcro may be the way to go for that.

Good call on the Velcro. I have a feeling I'll be replacing the light yearly.

Just read you're a jayco parts rep. Keep an eye out for me

Sometimes, technology has a tendency to get in the way of economy, simplicity and versatility. Wouldn't this $3.49, 27 LED worklight/flashlight found at any Harbor Freight (or similar store) do the job plus provide you with an emergency light source that can be used anywhere? It can be held magnetically or by it's built-in hook, and uses 3 AAA batteries that can be found almost anywhere.

We have plenty of flashlights hanging around the trailer doing those jobs. I guess we're just looking of the convenience of opening the fridge and it automatically lighting up. First world problems lol.

I figured you already did, but there are times (myself included) when we don't "see the forest for the trees" so I threw out my suggestion. In the end, though, it's your decision and I'm confident that you'll choose the light that best suits your needs. Actually I have that same worklight/flashlight here at home. However, I paid a little more for mine because I bought it from a Boy Scout troop that was selling them as a fundraiser.

Sorry to think that not having light in your refrigerator was probably one of those things where some accountant figured out that if they eliminated the light, they'd save $3.00 on each refrigerator they sell; and if they sold 10,000 refrigerators, they'd make and extra... (you do the math).

Hey all suggestions appreciated!

And yes not sure why the lack of a light, even the guys at my local dealership were stumped when I told them the situation.

That's OK....In March, the postman will still be delivering by dogsled and digging a hole in the snow to find your mailbox....
