Been there. Done that... several times. Somehow, the HWT survived. However, the times the electric was on with the tank empty were short because all at once it would "ding-dong" on me to check the switch.

Kim,

Watch this video. It's short but you'll see there's really not a lot to sanitizing the system.

If you also search on YouTube, he has some good videos on other things you should do to get ready for camping season.

Don't get too worried! That is why all of are here to help! It is really not difficult at all.

And you know what - if you don't get it all sanitized right, no biggie! I didn't do mine yet and I am still alive! I just flushed it for about 10 minutes when we got to our site and got all the antifreeze out and I was good to go.

If you ever get confused at the campsite, just walk over and ask a neighbor. Most anyone will be glad to help!!

Couldn't agree more Terry. Our first ever trip was last year and if not for a lot of help (driving rainstorm) from our new neighbors; it would have been our last.

Now I know a little bit, I pay it forward whenever I can.

Kim will too, one day.

Try this after I winterize and blow everthing out I set the bypass back to summer setting. That way when warm weather sets in all I have to do is put in the plug after I flush out the tank.

Thanks! That does seem pretty simple.
