What I find even more disconcerting is when they fly into the window full speed and break their necks. I think this happens when the sun is on the opposite side of the camper and birds can see through the windows on both sides of the camper.

I know! They run into this (my work) window all day, breaking their necks! I clean up about 5-8 birds a week from out front.

Happens a lot with anything shiny or chrome too. Ever wonder why many motor homes cover their mirror with a plastic bag or some cover. They will also peck chrome hub cabs.

Anything in which they can see their reflection.
