Inverter question

When your residential fridge is powered by an Inverter and you are connected to a CG power pedestal, do you leave it powered from the inverter or is there some type of auto or manual switch?

The inverter has a built in transfer switch so you can turn the inverter off (which is recommended) or leave it on makes no difference. When on shore power the inverter sits idle.
