Just one thought I'll add... if you need to raise the tongue to level the trailer, don't try to LIFT the TV, too!

! I'm doin it as we type! [emoji4]

As you can see, the hot shot drivers do it too. Stabilizers down, and at a nice rest area like this one in Connecticut, I'll even extend the slides for an overnight.

Hmmm... I have to do that when I'm hitching/unhitching. Don't see the problem here, and have done it at quite a few overnight campsites. Is there an issue we should know about?

I use the tongue jack to raise the back end of my truck up about a foot every time I hitch/unhitch my WDH to make it easier to attach/release the chains. Basically, I am not lifting the TV, but just relieving some, but not all of the weight on the springs of the truck which would still be lighter than having the tongue rest on the tongue jack alone.

So as long as I am not lifting the tongue/rear of the TV more than the truck would "squat" once the tongue is attached to the TV, I don't see an issue in doing the same thing to level the trailer front to back while still hitched up. If you need to lift it more than that, the site is probably way to unleveled to even try without unhitching altogether.

Right... I'm suggesting that the jack on the trailer is not designed to lift the weight of the truck. We ran into that more with a fifth wheel setup than I think you would with a ball hitch. If you're just lifting the trailer and the truck floats up with it, that's not putting any extra stress on the trailer jack.
