Is the Bunk Ladder Missing

We picked up a 2018 Jayco 272 Octane that has bunk beds and a bed that lowers from above the rear table area. There is a built-in ladder for the upper bunk, but nothing to get into the bed that lowers. It is quite a bit off the floor, approximately 4 feet and the only way to get into it is to climb up using the walls fold-out bench. The bench seems to give and flex more than it should and does not appear to be for climbing. We have been using a photographer's folding ladder, but it takes up a good bit of room. The Jayco website does not say anything about whether a ladder is included or not. Anyone else have a 272 Octane who can answer?

Thanks,
Brian

I don't know if you were supposed to get something for that other bunk or not. On my TT there were no ladders. This was my fix to no ladders for 9 and 8 year olds on the top and a 3 year old on the bottom. I made all those for under $35.Click image for larger version

We've owned 2 Jayco RVs with bunks and neither came with a ladder. The first one, a Greyhawk Class C had bunks and the cab over bed. When we asked the salesman about the ladder, he claimed it was a liability issue, so Jayco did not supply ladders. Since we received a gift card for the Dealer's parts department, we bought a ladder with it.

Our current TT has 4 bunks. The top bunks are used for guests and since they are older teens, they just climb up without the need of a ladder. We kept the ladder from our Class C, but haven't used it. It is in the shed in case we do need it.

I ordered one off amazon. Measure the height of the bunk. There are a couple lengths available that can also be cut down.
