We have done both. If your doing the motorized tour it was very personal, I think there was only 5 of us and we rode around in the tour guide personal car. We were all there for the Seneca's and at the end of the tour we were dropped off at a site that had every model of Seneca and we got to craw through them all. You do need to call ahead for this but not the trailer tour.

What ever you do stop at the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart it's worth it. The oldest rig on the floor is from the 19 Teens and actually has a slide out. Another thing to do in the area is go to the rv surplus stores if you need anything.

I should point out when we did this Jayco was still family owned.

Blue Door Restaurant

We took the Jayco factory tour last summer. It was very interesting. If you decide to do it, we suggest you also drive over to Shipshewana. Have a meal at the Blue Door Restaurant. Fabulous Amish style food. We recommend the downstairs 'cafeteria.' More cost effective than the traditional main floor restaurant, and just as good. Also, the Amish-Mennonite History Museum is a must visit. It was built by local Amish and Mennonite people, and provides an interesting education about how the three Anabaptist Protestant branches developed (Amish, Mennonite, Hutterite), what they believe, and why.
