It's going to be a good summer!

Well, we just wrapped up our camping plans for this summer, minus maybe a few "spur of the moment" weekend outings. The big ones for me are my annual "guys fishing weekend" up at Ludington state park in early June. I have 6 sites reserved for that weekend and could see as many as 36 guys show up for some of or all of the weekend. About 2 weeks later I am heading up to heading up to North Higgins lake State park along with my sister and BIL and my folks for a conferance for work (im the only one that attends the conferance though). Once the conferance is done, we are heading over to Traverse City State park for the remainder of the week where my wife and my 8mo (at that time) old will meet up with us. July, will be heading over to Yankee Springs State park for a few nights. Its close enough the wife and I can still go back and forth to work. August brings us to Tri-Ponds family camp resort in Allegan, again close enough to work. Im hoping to be able to do a fall camping trip or two, but Florida is calling our name this November, so not sure I will be able to convince the wife of a fall camping trip this year. Looking forward to breaking out the 314bh and my sister and BIL will be using their new 29L for the 1st full season (they only had it out once since they bought it last fall). Hopefully we can keep my folks Mountaineer from having any problems on these trips. It doesn't seem like they can go out without having some kind of repair needed...

It's going to be a good summer!

The title says it all!

Sounds like your 'dance card' is full this summer and you'll be getting lots of 'bang for your buck' camping this year.

Be safe and have great time.

Sounds like a lot of great fun. It occurred to us this weekend that we are now almost 6 weeks past the Christmas holidays - make that 6 quick weeks. 6 weeks from now we'll be deep into March and prepping for the first tow of the season. Gotta go, lots to do .

There is nothing that compares to camping in Michigan in the summer! Looks like you are hitting some of our favorite spots. Maybe we will see you out there.

Kalamazoo is a great place to go also. We love Fort Custer, great mountain bike trails!

Thanks for reminding I've been so busy that I forgot to book my summer conference. I'll do that tonight for sure.

Camping is just in my blood I guess... I have been camping ever since I was 8 months old, I've been told. Every year about this time, it seems we get a few sunny days and it just makes me want the snow to go away and spring to be here so we can head out. Making reservations now helps give me something to look forward to (counting the days). There's nothing better than hanging out with family and friends around the campfire. Can't wait for spring. For all those in the warmer climate's, send some of that weather north! We're ready!
