Jayco has implemented technical support call center

Just an FYI,

I had a technical question about my unit and called the Jayco Technical Support phone number and was greeted by a representative who said Jayco has implemented a call center due to volume of calls.

Now when you call, a call center person takes your name, phone number, and last 8 of your VIN, asks what you want help with.....then they tell you a technician will call you back within 24-48 hours. Have to wait and see how well this is followed through with.

The immediate access and good customer and technical support has been an important reason I have been purchasing Jayco products.

I think that's a great move on the part of Jayco. I wish they would provide the same service for parts since the dealer never seems to have anything in stock.

As Oldman says, keep your fingers crossed. Ten days ago while camping up north my Schenteck (sp?) slide jammed. The nearest mobile tech was two hours away. When I called Jayco’s call center to ask if they would cover the repair, they created a report and said a tech would call me back. Two days later, the call center called to see if the slide was still an issue - it was not a tech who called....

Jayco has implemented technical support call center

Another Jayco “moderator edit” fix!Now that's special they will call you back in 24- 48 hours.Maybe I miss the call maybe broke down in the middle of no where. That's about what I would expect from Jayco. We use to call that a dog and pony show!

I would have to agree with this post. A 24-48 hour callback seems like a cost cutting measure on JayCo's part. This way they can spread out the calls so they don't have to staff for high volume call times. Even if my assumption is not true the issue of missing the call or needing immediate help is a valid concern.

Easy fix for Jayco.....and most other RV manufacturers.

Put out a better product from the get go.

STOP leaving it all to someone else down the road to fix.

It's the right thing to do.

When I called, I was talking to a tech after about 3 minutes on hold. Support was great, giving me a work order # since I was several days from a repair center. Only time I've ever been told there would be a callback was when they had to do a little research and the call came in 3 hours later.

This is not good news. This is another step backwards. Till now you could get help anytime you called without waiting 24-48hrs

This is just the tip of the iceberg, boys, before the rapid slide down to the morass. So sorry, Charlie! Bye-Bye, Bonzo. Hasta Luego. Sayonara, Dudes. It's time to wake up. This is not your father's Jayco.

Yep, Always got my answers very quick and within a couple minutes.
Hope those at the call center don't have an Indian accent! (FROM India).

Wow! Feel the positive vibes!

Thank you Oregon Person, I am optimistic that this may be a positive step on Jayco's part to expedite solutions to customers with problems.

Jayco must not have a quality control system. I have over 10 poor quality items from trim to poor wall papering but they will not fix any of them.
It’s sad as we love the motorhome.
I would never recommend any to buy a Jayco product.

Sorry to hear that. Just out of curiosity, did you buy a new unit? Is it within the 2yr warranty period, and who is 'they' that won't fix it... the dealer or Jayco?
