Jayco Pick up campers

Just found one on CL and it got me to thinking. If I were the proud owner of one of those fine units, where would I post any questions I may have? LOL

Just brought back some old memories. Grandpa and Grandma had one (maybe two) back in the day. I remember the hard sided one being a very nice camper. The crank up top camper they owned, not so cool.

Anyway, thanks for the trip down memory lane! Dave

I don't believe Jayco has made slide-in (pick up) campers for quite some time. However, it is a Jayco product and any owner or person with an interest in them is welcome here. Since there isn't a dedicated forum for slide-in campers, I've moved your thread to the General Jayco RV Chat forum. If there is enough interest generated for this type of RV, a forum of its own will be created.

This is the pic of the pop top pick up camper. Its a 91 acording to the ad. Ill have to look back at some of the old family pictures and see if I can find one of the hard side grandpa and grandma had. Thinking back, im pretty sure all the campers they owned were Jayco's. They had a huge (for the day anyway) 35' he would haul down to FL in the winters.

I've looked at PU campers, but the weights of even smaller ones usually exceed the truck's rating. A small TT has more room and generally costs less. When we put a boat above the cab on a rack, our MPG drops to be very similar to towing the TT, so I can't think there would be any advantage there.

I see a lot of fishermen with them on the beach here in nj. So they are good if you need to go somewhere 4x4 is required.
