Jayco Plant Tour

Has anyone taken the Jayco Plant tour? If yes, how long was the tour and would you recommend others to take it?

I haven't taken the Jayco one, although I've drove past it several times. However, regardless, I'd take it if I had the chance. We have toured several RV manufacturers and had service done at a few. Well worth it to satisfy your curiosities, and find out stuff that your selling dealer doesn't know. Take enough tours and do enough research, and you'll find almost every dealer blows a lot of smoke.

We took the tour before we bought ours and it was real interesting you don't get to see everything . but we got to see enough to understand how it is assembled and how fast the line moves .... call them in advance to set up appt if you are wanting to watch eagles being built though because that's different than the regular walk in tour you get

My thanks to you both, we appreciate the information that you've given. We will give the plant a call in the early-Spring to make reservations, I think touring the plant will be interesting.

The Fifth-wheel plant is the normal tour they do both reservations and walk-ins until the shuttle is full so definitely make reservations. You can ask about motorized, I'm not sure if they still do that, but it required "special" reservations.

Yes, wife and I took a tour right after we bought our Greyhawk. We asked for a tour of the motorhome line and Jayco was very accommodating. Because you see so much in about 45 min., I'd take it again when in that part of Indiana.

Bob, did you make your purchase at Rick's RV in Joliet?

Took the tour last March after hearing our trailer was built and in line to be picked up for delivery to the dealer - it was sorta like visiting the nursery

Make sure you have a meal at Essenhaus. Breakfast starts at 6am and Dinner is done at 8pm. Closed on Sunday.

We didn't need a reservation for our Monday tour and were the only folks on the bus.
