Jayco Quality Workmanship???

Don't get me wrong, we are happy..maybe not extremely happy with our new unit but happy none the less.
What I am not liking to see is stuff like this pictured here (behind the water heater.) How hard would it have been to hole saw a clean 2" hole to run the wires? Oh, he had to get his hand in there? How about a 4 or 5" hole instead of removing a 18" x 4" chunk of wallboard and gouging another slot by mistake!!
Jeesh...makes you start looking for other hidden treasures.
Sorry for the rant but WOW!!

Looks like they used a sledge hammer instead of a saw lol.

Based on that and the ragged hole in the floor of my 26BH, I'd have to say that hole saws are in very short supply at Jayco.

Under my sofa, next to the heater, there's a big hole in the floor for the freshwater tanks's fill line. A six inch diameter, irregular shape. At least they posted a little sign there that says "Mice Enter Here" to make it easier for my little friends.

Canadian manufacturing plants closed down, now we have to deal with that quality. Is there any pride in the USA manufacturing? Gosh glad I have a 2005.

X2

Unfortunately Jayco workmanship coming out of the factory has been steadily slipping over the last couple years. I've spent a far amount of my personal time addressing my 2018 Jay Flight QC issues, plus dealership warranty service time.

You've got a great RV up in BC and that's Bigfoot Industries, Armstrong , BC. Their quality is right up there near the top of the charts. If they made one with a slide I would be first in line.

Those pictures from above should be published in at least Trailer Life Magazine so more people can see just what's being produced here in the US year after year.

Think only the fiberglass RV industry is still in business (Armstrong, Calgary etc.), as they where Canadian owners.
But all the USA RV companies closed Canadian manufacturing plants. Most RV's got shipped to the USA anyway. Many RV mfg. plants closed in the 2008 crash. Oliver, BC; Red Deer, AB etc.

That's ridiculous! And the icing on the cake is no one at Jayco doing outgoing inspection and no one at the dealer spotted this? Or worse they saw it and thought it was acceptable?

It only took 2 16oz cans of spray foam to fill all the holes in the floor of mine . They were all 6" round. Whether it was for 2 1/2" pex a couple of wires or a 2" drain it was 6".
