Jayco Stands Behind Their Product

My wife and I are very happy we purchased our X17Z last June. It was a nice step up from our popup and it is a extremely comfortable trailer for us. This summer we took a nice 3 week long mountain biking/camping trip from NJ to Utah. The trailer was perfect.

There was only one issue. On the way home through Indiana, we noticed that our tires had developed large cracks in the sidewall. We knew to keep an eye out for this issue from reading the forums here. Since we did not want a blowout on the highway, we stopped at the closest trailer store that had our size tires and we replaced both of them. Since we were on the road and felt this was a safety issue, we replaced both tires since they were of the same lot.

After we got home, we wrote to Jayco about our issue and how we were forced to replace the tires while on the road. We understood we did not follow the Jayco warranty procedures, but we wanted Jayco to know about the issue.

A few days ago, my wife and I received a check from Jayco for the amount we spent on the new tires. This was totally unexpected and appreciated. Thank you Jayco -- you've earned a customer for life.

Good to hear that your trip was enjoyable and the trailer met your expectations.

IMO Jayco provides a fair amount of "good will" that we don't hear about, whether within or outside the warranty period.

I had a similar situation involving a brake failure on a weekend. Jayco didn't hesitate to reimburse me after the fact.
