My dealer has a different way of doing things.

First, if it is a "camping critical" item such as plumbing leaks, electrical issues or something critical to camping they do not require and appointment and they try to get you in and out same day.

For other warranty work you make an appointment and take the coach in for diagnosis and parts ordering while you wait. You take the rig back home and they call you and make an appointment when parts have arrived. You take the rig in and the rig is repaired while you wait unless they know it will be a multi day repair for something big.

If you drop the rig off and leave there by choice there is a daily storage fee that is assessed. They do not want you rig cluttering their yard waiting for parts or repairs.

Has worked great the two times I've had them work warranty issues.

While living in AZ, we bought our TT from a dealer in Indiana. For warranty work, we took it to the Jayco dealer nearest to us in AZ. They put us on the schedule and did all the work, some 'fit and finish' warranty and some other things not under warranty, when they said they would.

From the responses here, it reinforces my experience that there are many who are happy with their investment. It's common knowledge that the relationship between mfg's and dealers is not the same as many have come to think it should be like automobile dealers.

The relationship between buyer and dealer is key to the purchasing customers satisfaction. Some would rather pay less up front and not be around the dealer and others like a long term relationship with a trusted local dealer. Of course there is everything in between also.

To get warranty work, there are procedures to follow and I have always had better luck being calm and respectful when I want someone to do something for me. Others have different methods depending on circumstances.

It sounds like the op did get the problem fixed and I'm happy to hear that.
