Yes to properly hook up the battery, not backwards. It's never had a battery in it.

I have another Casita camp trailer and they use some weird color scheme that is not the same as other RV's.

Trace the battery cables back to: a-Power distribution box (+ or Positive); b-Bolt on the frame (- or Negative ground). Positive is usually red, ground black in automotive (trailer) applications.

From memory it has a green wire, and it might have had a fuse.

On mine, not sure if yours is the same.

Red=Pos.
White=neg.
Black=breakaway switch

White was ground. My green wire was my hot and fused. I had a black wire with red stripe that I assume was the break away it went to the + also.

On my rig, Positive is Black, There is a red wire also connected.
Negative is white.

Check with a ohm meter which lead is grounded. Mark it in the battery box.

Daggone! I'll be rewiring my trailer tomorrow. The last guy boogered it all up. He didn't even weatherproof the connections. I'm surprised I still have power from the battery. He/she used black electrical tape instead of shrink wrapping it. Just a poor job. None of my wires are like anyone elses. I'm so confused! LOL
