Jaycos on the road

Returning from a week's vacation at Paradise Lake CG near Appomattox, VA, we encountered what appeared to be a caravan of Jaycos - two Eagle TTs and a Designer 5er - westbound on I-64 approaching Staunton, Va at about 1:30 PM on July 21st. We were towing our Designer 5er when they passed us, and later headed south on I-81 when we went north. What a great looking group of campers ! Wonder if any of them were JOF members ? If so, I hope they will chime in with some handles, and let us know who was out there.

We've got to get the JOF stickers!

When we had our Montana, we joined the Montana club and were assigned a membership number- We acquired Montana club stickers and our numbers which we attached to the front and rear cap- Does Jayco have such a system or is it up to us to put such a system into effect? JMHO- DD

I think it would be a great idea to have JOF stickers and membership numbers. Airstream has had them for many years, and there are others, such as the Montana Club, as noted by Diesel Donnie. Not sure how to get the ball rolling on something like this, though. Maybe there is a member or two out there who has some experience on projects like this . . . . . . .

I don't have direct experience, but couldn't one of our more creative members load a "JOF" image on Cafe Press where we could then order the decals with out anyone having to layout capital for a production run and then deal with selling them? Adding screen names could up to the individual member if they wanted to include that.

I just Googled "JOF Stikers" and the first hit was cafe press.

http://www.cafepress.com/+jof+bumper-stickers

Not as good as some designs I have seen others produce, but proves it's possible with little cost.

I will try to monitor this blog- I want to be on the bandwagon but we need a point person to lay out the procedure to become an active member of the JOF- I assume that means "Jayco Owners Family"? JMHO- DD

I think a membership number would complicate thing. How about just ordering the JOF sticker with our screen name? Keep it simple?

So . . . . are we going to use Boubou's design, or does someone else have another idea ? Whatever we use, they should all be the same except for personalization.

How about a poll? Anyone with ideas, design and then we can have a poll and pick one.
Mine is a bit bland for lack of imagination, wouldn't mind seeing what creative Jayco owners we have here

That's a great idea. Let's do it. Do we need a separate place for folks to display their ideas, or can we do it here ? Mods, what should we do ?

I think post a request for Jayco memebers to come up with an idea of a sticker, the get people to vote for their favorite one. Mods or Jayco general chat.
Also, I don't know how to do this

I don't know exactly how to do the poll suggested by Boubou, either. Could we have some input from one or more of the Moderators here, and maybe get some ideas on a sticker design from members ? Maybe we could do a poll on whether the membership in general would like to pursue the idea or not, and a separate one with member's ideas. Then go from there.

FYI - This topic comes up several times a year, but never followed through with.

Recommendation still stands as:
-members can provide designs for a sticker (can be square, rectangle, oval, "smaller", bigger, etc.
-use of Jayco Owners Forum logo (see above in upper left corner). We CAN NOT use the Jayco company logo as it is copywrited.
-encorporate JaycoOwners.com somewhere on it so JOF is easy to find online.
-can use JOF as acronym
-can include space for a member's user name

Present your suggested "sticker" to the mods. At some point (given period of time) the mods will narrow down the choices and current members will be given the opportunity to vote on the sticker. Highest votes will allow for the inception of the official JOF sticker
