JayKing 6 Troubles

Hey guys,
Super new to all of this as this is my first camper.
I believe I have a 98 or a 99 Jayco Jayking 6.
For starters, the crank is totally screwed and either the teeth aren’t grabbing inside to the lifting or something.
I can’t even get the thing open but it was free so I’m trying to refurb it as it means a lot to my spouse.
If anyone has any insight, please get back to me.

You will probably need several people to lift the top while someone cranks the winch to see if it at least winds the cables..
