Just gotta ask

What exactly does the term "DW" mean? In the context it is used in, it seems to me to refer to the "wife" in an RV'ing couple. Why the D and the W? I have never heard of it anywhere else other than on RV forums. Is it a gender specific term or can a man be a DW? I'm usually able to figure these things out, but after months on this forum I'm still not sure. Could someone kindly explain.

Dear Wife, Darling Wife, or as in my case D*** Wife. The D words can change depending on mood or context.

Thanks. That sorta makes sense. So if ones wife is not so "dear", It could be written as "the W" Is it used elsewhere in society with regularity? If it is, I need to find a different rock to live under.

Hi Scotty,

To help you crawl out from under that rock.... This is a list of common abbreviations used in forums. My google search for forum abbreviations brought up pregnancy and mom forums, not sure what that that is trying to tell me, but anyway, here is the list, https://www.netmums.com/info/abbrevi...-in-the-forums If you can't find something on there, you can look it up here.... https://slangit.com/ or here https://www.urbandictionary.com/ Work of caution on the uban dictionary, it can get R rated and even X rated depending on what you are looking up. You would be surprised at the meaning of a couple of letters.
