keeping ants out while camping

What do you do to control ants or keep them out of the camper? We are in the South and it is bad during summer months.

I spray insecticide on everything that touches the ground from the trailer: stabilizer jacks, tongue jack, power cord, water hose, wheels, etc. We've never had a problem.

A couple of Grants Kills Ants packets by the tires, jacks and power cord should do the trick.

I use Ortho Home Defense Max and it works great. Spray all four stabilizers, tongue and tires. Never had a problem. Stinkbugs on the other hand, well..that's a different story.

Borax, it's effective and safe.
You can use it as a barrier and mix it with sugar water (if they are sugar ants) to attract them out and away from your RV and kill the whole colony to boot!
A side note: Use lots of Ziploc bags for your sweets and keep your counter tops clean and wiped down. I swear those ants can smell a granule of sugar from outside your RV!

Thanks. I have heard about Borax. I wonder what folks do long term. For instance if you own an RV lot and leave your camper on it, what can you do to keep them out or other pests for that matter?
