I used to live in western Chester county PA (PA dutch area). I started using Dish in the RV when it was one satellite, than 110/119 than they added 61.5. I had a separate dish at home for my local channels on 61.5 but I could not use that one in the RV (I did not want to setup 2 dishes) Plus the locals were on 61.5 and with the beam spot satellite it seemed if you went more than 100 miles from your zip code you would loose the locals anyway. For years I used the western arc in the RV
Than they came out with 129 and made the western arc and 2 new satellites at 77 for the Eastern Arc
Eastern arc was higher in the sky and easier to aim with trees on the horizon. I switched my home to Eastern Arc because I had better view of the satellites as I had woods all around my home.
I don't think you gain anything between eastern or western arc as far as programming when I lived in PA.
I than bought a winegard pathway x2 that could do both arc's.
its a larger dish and had better rain reception. I had built a platform where I could mount it to my ladder and hold it on with bungy cords. but it was large to carry/store as well.
when I moved to Florida I had them point me at Western Arc because I was hearing eastern arc had more rain fade problems. (plus the dish was more hidden looking to the west).
Around 2018 I bought a MBS motorhome and installed a Playmaker on it. Something to note about that one is every morning around 6am the dish would re-calibrate and run through the aiming processes. (which was loud enough to wake you up as the dish was mounted to roof over the bed). I kept the X2 but never used it.
after I sold the MH we got rid of Dish and I took the X2 to the goodwill store.
Now we use Yahoo TV with starlink Mini for camping trip use.
