LED lighting issue (fading bulb)

Hi, Was wondering if that ever happened to anyone, seems like my one year old 16XRB (2015) LED light bulbs are dying on me?!? Or at least one of them had faded, you barely see it's on (see pic). I'm not too knowledgeable on LED lighting but I thought these were good for years... Also where would you buy some replacement beside the dealership? Thanks in advance

The theory is an LED should last for many years. I've had one go bad but bought several replacements when I converted to them. I kinda think it's the "supporting" electronic bits that fail and not the LEDs themselves. I'm not sure yours are replaceable as they look like the fixture was made with the LED installed.

I just had a thought while looking at this picture. I always just assumed that these new fixtures just had to be replaced, but from the looks of it, you may be able to just replace the element. Many of the wafer type LEDs are sold with a handful of wired plug adapters for various styles of 12v lighting applications. You could just cut the plug off one end and wire it direct into the fixture, and youre all set. Then if your new wafer ever dies, you're all set up already. Those little black plugs are pretty standard in the LED world.

I just replaced all of my halogens with LEDs. The best prices I found were on Amazon.

Thanks for including a photo. I think this is covered under your warranty since your rig is only a year old.

The downside of just calling the dealer and getting a warranty replacement is that you're getting the same fixture in there that has already failed. If you can wire it with a plug, you can spend less time and money by just replacing the wafer, and you can get whatever color or brightness you want.

I guess I would have it replaced under warranty as long as it's covered, but after the warranty is up, I'd be looking for an upgrade.
